You'll learn how to build personalities, backgrounds, and motivations that drive your character’s decisions and interactions, as well as how to integrate them into the larger story of your campaign.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a fully fleshed-out character ready to embark on your next adventure. Whether you're playing a rogue with a dark past or a noble with a hidden agenda, this workshop will empower you to bring your characters to life and make every session more exciting!

WHAT IS D&D?

Dungeons & Dragons 2024 (D&D 2024) is the latest edition of the classic tabletop RPG, where players create characters and embark on collaborative adventures led by a Dungeon Master (DM). The game mixes storytelling, strategy, and imagination in a world of magic and monsters, with players taking on roles like warriors, wizards, or rogues. Success in the game is influenced by dice rolls, adding an element of chance to actions and decisions.

D&D 2024 builds on previous editions with streamlined rules for smoother, more accessible gameplay, while keeping the depth and creativity that fans love. Players work together to complete quests, solve puzzles, and battle enemies, with the DM guiding the story and controlling the world around them.

As part of Learn D&D: Session 0, you'll learn about:

• Character Archetypes and Beyond: Learn how to build on classic tropes while adding your own unique twist.
• Backstory Development: Techniques for creating rich histories that shape your character’s goals, fears, and relationships.
• Personality and Motivation: Crafting believable, consistent personalities that will keep you and your fellow players engaged.

👋 Meet Alexzavier!

Alexzavier has been running D&D sessions for more than 15 years. He has run everything from D&D and Pathfinder to more obscure systems like Shadowrun and BESM for groups of every size.

Alexzavier is a self employed craftsmen making and painting high quality 3D miniatures and terrain! He's been 3D printing for just about 2 years, and painting miniatures for about 5.

Alexzavier is also a local advocate for the Loot Studio's developed table top game Malediction. A new miniature wargame that combines elements of a Card Game like Magic the Gathering with Miniature Wargaming.

Hi, I am Shada, the Greenskin of Greenskin Greatworks. I make custom, reliable gaming equipment from leather and wood. In my spare time I like to play games and do 3D modeling for my partner, Alexzavier.

I have been playing in TTRPG's for over 15 years and running them for nearly 10 years. I have played in and run everything from D&D and Pathfinder to the more obscure Vampire the Masquerade and BESM.
