Course Overview

• This certification course includes 4 in-person learning sessions (3 hours each).
• These comprehensive lessons include learning, sharing, and practicing with animals.
• To earn your certificate, you'll need to complete weekly homework, practice daily with animals, and attend all of the sessions.

What You'll Learn in Level 1 of Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki:

• Unique Approach: Understand how and why the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki differs from traditional human Reiki and other Animal Reiki methods. Learn the evolution of this method and why it's the most ethical practice in Animal Reiki.
• Traditional Practices: Explore traditional Shoden (Level 1) Japanese Reiki practices and how to modify them so that animals can lead the sessions.
• Ethical Physical Contact: Discover when and how to use physical contact ethically during an Animal Reiki session, along with hands-on protocol for humans.
• Positive Focus: Learn the importance of focusing on the 'paws'itive instead of worry during Animal Reiki sessions, and how this shift fosters trust and connection.
• Step-by-Step Guidance: Receive detailed guidance for conducting successful Animal Reiki sessions working directly with animals
• Practitioner Code of Ethics: Get an overview of the Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics and understand why these principles are crucial to your practice.
• Holding Space vs. Doing: Grasp the difference between holding space for an animal and “doing” an energy treatment “to” an animal, and why this distinction matters.

• Daily Practice Assignments: Daily practice assignments to guide your journey (and continue your journey!)
• Certification: A beautiful certificate to show your accomplishment and official certification. This certificate may serve as a prerequisite to any Let Animals Lead® Level 2 course.
• SARA Membership: An invitation to join SARA (Shelter Animal Reiki Association) as a Practitioner member.

Course Requirements:

• In-Person Participation: Students must participate in all sessions. Attendance is required for certification. (If you can't attend a session, make up sessions can be arranged, $50/hour)
• Animal Companions: Between classes, you may practice with your own animal companions or in nature. Reach out to Teresa if you need help with this.
• Daily Practice/Meditation: Commit to 10-20 minutes/day of practice. This will help you experience the teachings personally, laying the foundation for a lifelong Animal Reiki practice. With dedication, Animal Reiki can transform your life and the lives of the animals you love!
