The Madison LakeWay is an ambitious transformation of 1.7 miles of Lake Monona waterfront from Machinery Row to North Olin Park, weaving the lake’s natural beauty with our city’s incredible energy. This unique linear park will redefine our connection to the lake with sweeping lawns for festivals and picnics, serene wetlands for aquatic life, inclusive playgrounds, and community pavilions that host everything from artisan markets to cultural performances will bring the waterfront to life. This is our community’s next BIG changemaking public project.
We invite you to learn more about the Madison LakeWay through a social gathering and presentation on at One Social Hall on Tuesday, June 2. We’ll answer all your questions about the first phase of the LakeWay: The SkyLine, which is the causeway along John Nolen, and will include:
A winding boardwalk that curves over the water, offering a unique and immersive lake experience.
Dedicated paths for biking, walking, and jogging to provide safe, scenic, and easy access along the waterfront.
