Leah Farmer & The Badasonics is a collaboration between American and Belgian musicians who share a passion for soul, rocksteady and reggae. Born out of years of touring and working together, the project blends heartfelt songwriting, vintage sounds and collective energy.
Hailing from Portland (Oregon), Leah Farmer – known as the lead vocalist of The Bandulus – captivates audiences with her warm tone and her style blending soul, rhythm & blues and rocksteady.
The members of The Badasonics, hailing notably from The Moon Invaders and The Caroloregians, are among the leading figures in the revival of ska and rocksteady in Europe. Founded by drummer and producer Nico Leonard, the collective fosters international collaborations fuelled by extensive live performance experience.
Together, they present an original repertoire where American soul meets the Jamaican grooves of rocksteady. Driven by vocal harmonies, vintage keyboards, elegant brass and a warm production style, they pay homage to the 1960s with a resolutely contemporary approach.
On stage, Leah Farmer & The Badasonics deliver authentic and intense performances, where emotion, groove and spontaneity come together naturally.
