LEAF: The Birdwings Nature Mentor’s Pathway is a 3-day immersive training for early childhood educators and mentors. Guided by Birdwings’ LEAF Framework (Living, Ecology, Agency, Flow), you’ll deepen your practice with nature mentoring, adventurous playwork, bushcraft, risky play, loose parts exploration, ecological storytelling, creative arts and reflective practice.
Day 1: LIVING- Nature Playwork, Mentoring in action and Practical Skills
Day 2: ECOLOGY- Ecological Storytelling and felt-making
Day 3: AGENCY & FLOW- Empowering children’s voice, visual documentation and creative reflective practice
Upgrade to the Birdwings-Aligned Nature Mentor Certificate with online course, online mentoring, and a site visit. This course is practical, creative, and transformative, giving you the confidence and strategies to mentor children with the Birdwings Forest School approach.
