Augurs Wand is the Montreal-based visual music duo of Mike Cassidy and composer Kristian North. Powered by the three-projector Cerberus system and the Phosphene synthesis environment, the project unifies sound, form, and color into a synesthetic language of audiovisual ritual.Field Theory is an improvising electroacoustic chamber trio exploring the sonic intersections of acoustic instruments and electronic processing.
Drawing inspiration from ambient music, free jazz, and classical traditions, the trio features Phil Panos on musical saw and electronics, Jess Garrett on violin and electronics, and Sarah Christiansen on flute and electronics.
Sibling duo Eliza & Izaiah Miller debut a live audiovisual performance, Purification: Anagoge, for LEAF’s 10th anniversary.
The performance employs real-time signal processing to convey the individuation process and the fluidity of familial relationships, both blood and chosen.
