As our community prepares for this fall's municipal election, join the Whistler Institute for an engaging conversation about leadership, governance, and public service. This timely discussion will explore what effective leadership looks like, how leaders navigate complex decisions, and what communities should expect from those who serve.
Featuring Mary-Ann Booth, former Mayor of West Vancouver, lawyer, and long-time advocate for strong civic leadership and governance, and Diana Chan, corporate director, governance leader, and experienced board chair, this event will draw on their diverse experiences across the civic, business, and not-for-profit sectors.
Together, they will share personal leadership journeys, lessons learned from serving their communities, and insights into the relationship between leadership and governance. Through stories, reflections, and discussion, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with leadership roles.
The conversation will be moderated by Sue Adams, respected business leader and not-for-profit board chair, whose extensive leadership experience brings a thoughtful and practical perspective to the discussion.
Whether you currently serve on a board, hold a leadership position, are considering public office, or are simply interested in building stronger communities, this event offers valuable insights into what it means to lead with purpose.
