Workshop with Nur Yaldiz -
an active and elegant tangodancer, great TangoDJ and a wonderful, warm tangoteacher and human!
Nur Yaldiz says:
I love tango — and I love creating meaningful connections through it. What moves me most is seeing dancers from different levels and backgrounds feel confident, safe, and fully present on the social floor.
In this three-hour workshop, we will work on the seemingly simple yet essential foundations of social tango: walk, embrace, and intelligent floor craft.
We all remember those dances where we felt safe, supported, and truly seen. Often, those partners were not the ones dancing the most complex figures — but the ones who created clarity through their walk, their embrace, and the space they shaped around us.
This workshop is designed especially for women who want to strengthen their leading role. At the same time, it is open to all leaders who wish to bring more structure, awareness, and responsibility into their dance. These three hours are for dancers who want to be safe, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable partners on the social floor.
Strong leading is not about force.
It is about structure, awareness, and care. I look forward to seeing you on the practice floor.
We will focus on:
▸ Walking from the Core
Initiating movement from the center
--- Avoiding leg-driven or chest-pushing lead
--- Traveling calmly and efficiently in the ronda
▸ The Embrace & the Back
--- Using the back muscles for stability
--- Creating tone without stiffness
--- Supporting your partner without collapsing or gripping
▸ Intelligent Floor Craft
--- Navigating crowded milongas
--- Maintaining a safe space around your partner

We recommend that you sign up with a partner on your own level. If you register without a partner, we will try our best to find someone suitable for you to dance with.
We expect you to be open minded and want to inform you that we only focus on dancing roles, not gender <3
The workshop is three hours with one 15 minutes break.
