Leading Digital Care: Governance, Risk and Long-Term Resilience is an interactive workshop for adult social care leaders, owners and decision-makers who want to strengthen governance and make better long-term digital decisions.
The session will explore what good practice looks like across key DSPT areas, including privacy notices, data protection policies, Training Needs Analysis, National Data Opt-Out, IT systems and devices, supplier assurance and expected evidence.
Participants will work through practical exercises to compare policy with real-world practice, identify gaps in assurance, understand what evidence should sit behind DSPT answers, and explore how leadership decisions around technology, training, suppliers and cyber risk can affect the organisation over time.
The day will also include a NW Cyber Resilience Centre-led five-year decision-making exercise, showing how choices made in the early years can create financial, operational, legal or cyber consequences later.
The aim is to help providers move beyond simply having policies or completing the DSPT, and towards stronger leadership assurance, better risk management and more resilient care services.
