Unlock the potential of your team with our comprehensive Leadership Development Program. This 5-part series supports new managers, emerging leaders, and high-potential professionals in strengthening communication, emotional intelligence, effective decision-making, conflict resolution, and team dynamics. Each session emphasizes practical tools leaders can apply immediately in the workplace.

Each session provides practical tools and strategies to navigate the complexities of leadership, improve team dynamics, and manage change. This transformative program empowers teams to lead with confidence and make a lasting impact.


Who Should Attend

New managers, emerging leaders, and high-potential professionals ready to strengthen leadership skills, build confidence, and grow their impact within their organization.

This course brings together professionals who register as individuals to learn in small, facilitated cohorts, engaging in practical, workplace-focused learning alongside peers from a variety of organizations.

This in-person series is held at Maricopa Community Colleges District Office at 8550 S Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the following Thursdays, and includes the following topics:

  • October 8 | Emotional Intelligence
  • October 15 | Effective Decision-Making
  • October 22 | Conflict Resolution
  • October 29 | Team Dynamics

The $800 registration fee includes all five sessions. Discount of $100 per person with registration of three participants or more within the same transaction.

Effective Communication | October 1, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

In this workshop, participants will recognize the importance of communication, identify barriers to effective communication, and utilize communication to improve their interaction with others. Effective communication in the workplace leads to increased employee morale, innovative products and processes, and greater trust among employees and managers.

Emotional Intelligence | October 8, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed to focus on managing emotions and reactions within the daily work environment. Participants will utilize practical strategies to help respond more skillfully and professionally as pressure, tension, and complexity increase in their interactions with others. Areas of focus will include recognition of feelings/emotions, reactions that affect work relationships, proper/appropriate communication, and taking responsibility for ones’ actions.

Effective Decision-Making | October 15, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed to help participants make sound decisions using a well-thought-out decision-making process. Participants will learn to involve the right stakeholders, evaluate options, identify barriers, and make effective decisions that are grounded in data analysis. Relevant decision-making scenarios will be used to provide participants a hands-on experience implementing a decision-making process.

Conflict Resolution | October 22, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed to provide the tools and techniques needed by participants to effectively resolve conflicts in the workplace. The resolution tools and techniques will focus on improving communication, reflection, and behaviors associated with workplace conflict. Additionally, this training will teach participants how to manage emotions during conflict, while working collaboratively toward a “win-win” resolution.

Team Dynamics | October 29, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed for anyone leading a team. Teams are an essential part of business today, whether they are temporary project teams or the way an organization is structured, the role of teams is a constant. It is important to understand how to work in this environment and how to leverage teams to enhance productivity and performance.
