Evan Pivnick, Director of Broadcast & Communications

Pivnick is the television and radio voice of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, providing the play-by-play for every game. Prior to joining the Firebirds in 2022, Pivnick spent five years with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder, where he served as the team’s Director of Communications and Broadcasting.

Pivnick is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio and was also the play-by-play voice of the school’s hockey team. During his senior year, Pivnick had the privilege of calling a game with legendary hockey broadcaster Mike “Doc” Emrick.

A native of Oceanside, NY, Pivnick credits going to New York Islanders games during his youth at nearby Nassau Coliseum as the spark plug for his love of hockey.
