The Denison Arts Council is excited to announce the 2nd annual Salon des Artistes at 517 Gallery! Last year, we were fortunate enough to display over 50 stunning artworks by artists from all around Texas and beyond in this Salon-style juried exhibition. This year, we’d like to make Le Salon des Artistes an opportunity to share your culture and heritage. In honor of Denison’s annual Dia de los Muertos festivities, which will take place during the time the show is on display, we invite artists of all backgrounds to show us how they connect with the people and places from which they descend. We want to display artworks that depict beloved recipes, cultural dress, family traditions, and anything else that celebrates where you come from. Honor your culture and heritage through sharing or viewing art at 517 Gallery’s 2nd annual Salon des Artistes this Autumn.IMPORTANT DATES
Application Deadline: August 13
Response from Gallery Committee: August 21
Dropoff: September 6
Opening & Reception: September 12 (4-6 p.m.)
Midway Reception: October 10 (4-6 p.m.)
Artists Pick up Work: November 8
