En mêlant riffs mordants et explorations sonores, le groupe offre un souffle poétique à une musique qui se veut libre et aventureuse.
Le Grand Partir est mené par le batteur Théo Lanau (SOROR, Amaury Faye trio, Mobilhome…), musicien prolifique et éclectique, influencé par le travail de Jim O’Rourke, Robert Wyatt, Carla Bley ou encore Fred Frith. Avec les guitaristes Benjamin Sauzereau (FUR, Hélène Duret Synestet…), Léo Rathier (Harmattan Brothers, Chaman Chômeur…) et le clarinettiste/saxophoniste Sam Comerford (Thunderblender, Warm Bad…), le quartet livre une musique narrative, sensible et saisissante dont chaque interprétation est unique. Après un premier EP éponyme paru en 2022 sur le label Bêtes Records, Le Grand Partir sort aujourd'hui son premier album "Super Star" sur IGLOO Records, label incontournable de la scène belge depuis 1978.

Met een mix van bijtende riffs en sonische exploraties biedt de band een poëtische adem aan een muziek die vrij en avontuurlijk wil zijn.
Le Grand Partir wordt geleid door drummer Théo Lanau (SOROR, Amaury Faye trio, Mobilhome…), een productieve en eclectische muzikant, beïnvloed door het werk van Jim O'Rourke, Robert Wyatt, Carla Bley en Fred Frith. Samen met gitaristen Benjamin Sauzereau (FUR, Hélène Duret Synestet…), Léo Rathier (Harmattan Brothers, Chaman Chômeur…) en klarinettist/saxofonist Sam Comerford (Thunderblender, Warm Bad…) levert het kwartet een verhalende, gevoelige en opvallende muziek. Na een eerste gelijknamige EP die in 2022 werd gepubliceerd op Bêtes Records, brengt Le Grand Partir vandaag zijn eerste album "Super Star" uit op IGLOO Records, een belangrijk label in de Belgische scene sinds 1978.
