This 2025 Veteran's Day Weekend, We are teaming up with the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) in honor of LCpl Antoine Smith, so that I can make a difference in the lives of America’s injured veterans and their families. This fundraiser is named after my best friend and war hero Lance Corporal Antoine Smith, who was killed in Iraq on November 15, 2004 during the second Battle of Fallujah. We are conducting a fitness run/walk fundraiser on behalf of WWP. The event will take place at North Beach Park in Hollywood, Florida on Nov 8th, 2025, Veterans Day Weekend and 7 days before the 21st year anniversary of LCpl Smith's death. Your mission: march or jog 1 mile down Hollywood Boardwalk down to Margaritaville, complete 22 pushups (Antoine died at 22 years old, and for 22 Veteran suicides per day) at Margaritaville, and 1 mile back to North Beach Park.
In total, the route is 2 miles. As a wounded warrior myself, I have a passion for helping my fellow brothers and sisters in uniform.
My therapy practice, Ony-X Fitness Therapy & Sports Medicine, has an initiative we call Community Health Promotion, in which we promote exercise within our communities, while raising money for a great cause.
