Sunday, October 5, from 7 AM to 12 PM, bring cans and other goods to the Park Circle circle (list of most needed items at the bottom of these details), and then get in as many laps as you can (or want to). We'll have the PCP tent set up in the grass by the west side parking lot (near the water fountains). We're shooting for 500 cans/500 pounds! If you're participating in Orbtober, this is an excellent chance to establish an early lead by putting in some work! Let's see if our combined laps can exceed our number of cans donated! In 2024, LCFB donated 45.8 MILLION pounds of food and other essential items to 200,000+ neighbors along SC's 10 coastal counties. That's 38.2 million meals served! 96% of dollars donated are spent on direct programs and services, and they work with 240 partner agencies to distribute food and essential services.
Most needed items:
• Canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc)
• Low-sodium canned vegetables
• Canned fruit in water or juice
• Peanut butter
• Low sodium soups and stews
• Whole grain rice, pasta, and/or oats
• 100% fruit juice or bottled water
• Low sugar breakfast cereal
• Vegetable oil
• Personal hygiene items (shampoo, toothpaste, diapers, etc)
