(LB/OC/LA) Women's networking event at Watch Me!

Event Organizer

Hosted by new event organizing company based in OC, called AE Events. Run and operated by Ashley and partnering with her sister, Krista, who have both hosted events for many years.

We know ​how powerful these events can be for women to meet other women in their field. Our goal is to make it casual, fun and welcoming and host these in spaces where women are celebrated and welcomed and not just invited. When we say women we mean ALL women. Trans women are included and celebrated. This is a queer friendly space and a no hate zone.

The Event Itself

We keep things casual and free flowing to allow everyone to talk to each other. Sometimes we will provide an activity to get things started. We will also set up an area where we take headshots for linkedin etc. This is the perfect event for women who want to network in a causal and fun setting that's not so stuffy or boring.

Attendees

Typically these events are geared and tailored to the women working in these fields so we ensure theres enough common ground between attendees:

Science, tech, engineering, marketing/branding, finance/accounting, private equity, investing, consulting, fintech, banking, mathematics, AI, computer science, data/analytics.

We won't ever turn anyone down though so please sign up still even if you don't work in one of these industries.

Venue

Watchme sports bar is the best host of this event as its women owned and operated and focused on highlighting womens sports. This is a bar still so the event is 21+

Food/Drinks

There will be food and drinks for purchase. This venue has alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. They also offer a full menu that provides options for vegan and vegerations. ​If you aren't a big drinker and are worried about being in this space sober please know that the event organizer will not be drinking and will always be a safe sober person you can come to.

Tickets

We will charge an entry fee as we want to continue to throw events like this and there are costs associated with it so please know your ticket sales help another woman owned and operated business trying to get started. It also helps cover the costs of our photographer and editing time for the headshots. Tickets can also be purchased directly on venmo if you want to avoid the fees. Donations are also accepted and appreciated. ​Please send to ashley-va on venmo. ​

Parking

Parking is free and there is plenty of it in the lots of the venue.
