The past few years have shown that tech is no longer immune to layoffs. Acquisitions, restructuring, AI, and a tighter economy have led to cuts at companies many believed were safe. Behind every process are employees, managers, and union representatives who has to find a path through something genuinely difficult.
This evening we are bringing together union representatives and professionals who have felt the effects directly, for an open and honest conversation about what actually happens in a downsizing process. What does the law and collective agreements say, how to create constructive cooperation with management, and what could have been done differently? We also discuss what rights and options you have as an employee and a member of Tekna.
This course aims at leaving you more confident, and to feel prepeared weather you are facing a restructuring, or if you are a union representative seeking knowledge about how to handle these situations when they occure. The point is not to paint a bleak picture of the current situation, but to be proactive and prepared for any outcome.
