Layered Words in Collage: Creative Gathering at Batch Coffee

Juneteenth is a holiday that honors the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas finally learned they were free - more than two years after slavery had legally ended. It’s a day to recognize freedom, resilience, and the ongoing work toward justice.
If you’re not familiar with the holiday, that’s the heart of it. With respect for the meaning of the day, if you’d like to share a few hours of your holiday in community, you are welcome.
Layered Words: Affirmations in Collage is a gentle creative gathering for caregivers.
We’ll use simple materials - paper, ink, stamps, and stickers - to build small, tactile collages around words that matter to us. Each piece becomes a quiet layering of affirmation, reflection, and care. No art experience needed. Just a space to make something meaningful in community.
This gathering is capped at about 10 people so the space can stay cozy and comfortable.
