Layar Andayu 2025: Bara Yang Tersimpan

Layar Andayu is Malay Cultural Group’s annual production which features performances from our subgroups — Malay Dance, Dikir Barat and Malay Theatre!

Our ancestors once said: Don't hate too much, if not you'll fall in love. “Bara Yang Tersimpan” or “Stored Embers” tells a love story between Yusof and Melati which all started from school.

However, an incident changed Melati's fate completely. Stored anger burns itself and results in misconstrued feelings of hatred. Can Yusof's sincerity overcome Melati’s hatred for him?
