Lawyer in the Library provides free one-on-one legal advice from Maryland Legal Aid lawyers. Types of issues include:Bankruptcy
Child custody
Divorce
Expungement (removing convictions from criminal records)
Foreclosure
Government benefits
Landlord/tenant
Wills/tenants
Maryland Legal Aid attorneys, paralegals, law students, and volunteer attorneys will be on site at select branches providing brief, one-on-one advice for a variety of civil legal issues.
Customers are helped on a first-come, first-served basis, no appointments necessary.
