Hello Friends to this awesome page, it is time to get psyched up for Lawrence VS Breast Cancer 2026.
Lawrence vs. Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk — Halloween Edition on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas.
This year we are blessed again with the 5K being on Halloween, like our very first one was.
Why this is important? People that participated in this very first 5k were so happy that got to dress in costumes.
We still have the same goal of raising money to help people that live in our neighborhoods and our town, bringing awareness to people that don’t believe that this could happen to them.
This is our flyer with information about the event and I will add the link to sign up your team or just yourself.
There are three ways you can help us.
1. You can buy one of our Lawrence VS Breast Cancer shirts for $25.
2. Participate in the 5K for $30 and you can get a shirt for $50.
3. Make a Monetary donation.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS EARLY DETECTION.
Promote awareness, screenings, and access to mammograms.
PATIENT SUPPORT.
Support programs that assist individuals and families affected by cancer.
COMMUNITY
Bring survivors, families, businesses, volunteers, and supporters together.
HOPE
Honor those we have lost and remind those currently fighting that they are not alone.
The proceeds from shirt sales along with the 5K funds raised will be divided three ways to benefit the most people.
Those benefited would be LMH Cancer Center, Free Mammogram program, and The Catch a Break Fund.
1. The Catch a Break Fund at LMH Health Foundation helps cancer patients and survivors in our community pay for day-to-day needs like medications, car repairs, utilities and food.
2. The Free mammogram program help provide free testing, early testing, and most importantly testing for people with family history of Breast Cancer.
3. LMH Cancer Center has grown to provide approximately 16,000 patient encounters per year and serves as a regional destination for exceptional cancer care.
When you register, you will have the choice to direct your gift to support one of the following: The Catch a Break Fund, Mammogram Vouchers for those that Otherwise, could not afford one, or the expansion of the LMH Health Cancer Center.
