About the Speakers
Lawrence Edward Carter Sr. is Dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel and Professor of Religion at Morehouse College. A scholar of religion, ethics, and nonviolence, he is the founder of Morehouse’s Gandhi King Ikeda Institute for Ethics and Reconciliation and the International Hall of Honor, a collection of more than 300 portraits honoring civil and human rights leaders. His books include The Baptist Preacher’s Buddhist Teacher and Global Ethical Options: In the Tradition of Gandhi, King, and Ikeda.
