This is a three-day live fire class, conducted at an accelerated pace, which emphasizes preparing the shooter for employing the RDS equipped pistol successfully. This is not a beginner pistol class, and shooters are expected to already have the ability to safely handle and employ the pistol. Attendees should be current firearms instructors. Graduates of this program will be issued a three-year certification.
GENERAL CURRICULUM:
• Nomenclature of Modern Pistol Optics
• Types of Optics / Reticles / Mounts / MOA Size
• Equipment Set-up / Holster types
• Gunfighting Fundamentals
• Alternative Shooting Positions / Shooting on the Move
• Wet / Foggy / Occluded Optic/ Broken Lens
• Holdover / Offset
• Eye Relief / Parallax / Optics / Iron Sights
• Presentation / Dry / Live fire Drill:
• Policy Considerations and Implementing RDS into an Agency
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
• Duty Pistol with Mounted Optic
• Duty Holster w/ Minimum 3 magazines 800 Rounds of Ammunition
• Ear / Eye protection.
• Notebook, writing materials
