Join us Helldorado Saturday for author and historian Samuel K. Dolan’s presentation on Cochise County Justice. Aligning with his current research, the edu-taining program’s emphasis is “Texas” John Slaughter, former Cochise County Sheriff. Learn about the role of a county sheriff in late 1800’s Arizona Territory, hear about cases tried in our historic courtroom, and delight in the devilish tales of Slaughter’s deputy, the infamous Burt Alvord.
The presentations are free with paid museum admission and will take place in our historic courtroom. Please note the courtroom is only accessible via spiral staircase due to the historic nature of our Victorian-era building. Presentations take place at 11 AM and 1 PM, both program times offer the same presentation. Presenter Samuel K. Dolan will have books available for purchase and signing.
