About this Event
After a full year of shows both in Canada and overseas, the Oscar Peterson Centennial Band is thrilled to present our live concert celebration of Oscar Peterson's life in music to Laurier. An integral part of Oscar Peterson's legacy is the doors he opened for those who followed in his footsteps in bringing musical excellence to the forefront of jazz performance. The Oscar Peterson Centennial Band provides audiences the opportunity to hear music from Peterson's near seven decade career, performed in the voices of some of the finest talent on both the national and international jazz scenes of today. Featuring JUNO Awards winners Robi Botos on piano, Mike Downes on bass, Mark McLean on drums and special guest trumpeter Andrew McAnsh, this evening promises to be a joyous and unforgettable celebration of one of Canada's most beloved national treasures.

Tickets may be reserved in advance through Eventbrite, or purchased at the door using cash or credit card.

- Students*: $5
*Student tickets include high school students, post-secondary students, and anyone under 18, including Laurier students for Laurier Guest Artist Series events.

Outdoor signs will be posted for all events to guide you to the correct entrance. Please check for these signs when you arrive, as entrance locations may vary by event.

Parking
- White permit parking lots are free of charge after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and during the weekend until 2 a.m.
- Gold permit parking lots are free of charge after 10 p.m. on weekdays and during the weekend until 2 a.m.
- At all other times, Pay & Display parking is available. The closest lot to the Faculty of Music is Lot 20, which is registered as Lot 3501 in the HonkMobile app. Payment can be made by credit card or cash at the machine, or through the HonkMobile app.
