About this Event
Get ready for a day of outdoor fun and discovery at our Outdoor Adventure Day Camp hosted at Dreher Island State Park! This hands-on camp introduces youth to 4-H natural resources through exciting activities like exploring local ecosystems, learning about plants and wildlife, and practicing outdoor skills. Campers will hike scenic trails, observe nature up close, and participate in interactive lessons that build an appreciation for the environment. Perfect for youth who love being outside, making new friends, and trying new things, this camp offers an engaging day of adventure and learning in the great outdoors.
Day 1: Nature Explorers
Introduction to 4-H natural resources, trail hiking, plant and wildlife identification, and nature journaling.
Day 2: Outdoor Skills & Wildlife
Hands-on activities focused on habitats, animal tracks, basic outdoor skills, and fishing.
Day 3: Adventure & Stewardship
Team challenges, environmental stewardship project, and a fun camp wrap-up.
Dates: June 22 - June 24
Times: 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon
Ages: 8 - 15 year olds
Cost: $25

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this event.
Custodial Care: Youth must be approved, enrolled members in 4HOnline with South Carolina 4-H Youth Development to attend this event. This is a custodial care event. Only adult chaperones and invited facilitators approved to be at the event will be allowed onsite during this event. Youth must be signed in and signed out by a parent/guardian or designated representative.
