How Could Love Go So Entirely Wrong?
With Love from Lauren is a gut-wrenching story of a relationship that turned abusive and ended in suicide.
Life isn’t always pretty, and Lauren takes you through some of the worst it can offer. You’ll learn how a good relationship can go bad, how pain can hide behind closed doors, and how to respond to the anguish of mental illness. You’ll see how abuse truly can happen to anyone.
Lauren’s message is a wakeup every young woman needs. It lifts up the power of community and the importance of being there for people who desperately need it.
Our worst nightmares sometimes do come true. But Lauren’s example of resilience shows how to keep going—and how to embrace beauty in the worst imaginable situations. Beyond the ugly trauma, beauty remains.
.............................................................
"A girl moved by faith, a former athlete, a writer, a speaker, a mental health advocate, a fighter for all those in abusive relationships, and a friend to those who are hurting. "
Lauren has always been passionate about helping others achieve their goals, and in giving nothing less than her best. This was first strengthened in college athletics, the love of working hard and helping others on and off the soccer field. She then pursued this in financial planning at Horizon Wealth Partners, helping people plan for their goals and their futures.
However, in 2022 and 2023 life took a few turns that she never expected. Her relationship became unhealthy, and as it worsened so did her mental health. She was forced to make a choice, and it ultimately ended with his suicide.
This painful experience has shifted her perspective completely. She will now stop at nothing to be an advocate for those in abusive relationships, those left in the wake of suicide, and those dealing with any sort of complicated hardship, trauma, or pain.
As a speaker, she strides to break down the barriers that divide people from being open about the ugly things that come with being human. With vulnerability comes authenticity. Lauren strives to challenge your perspective on pain, and what you do with it, as so much beauty can come from so much ugly.
