The Lauren South Trio will be performing at Beardy Folk Festival 2026!
Residing in Warwickshire, Lauren South is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for her original compositions and traditional melodies. With the accompaniment of tenor guitar, fiddle, and shruti box, her songs exude heartfelt emotion and vivid imagery, drawing inspiration from her passion for the nocturnal heavens, the natural world, and her journey through motherhood. Lauren’s debut solo album, Tiny Boat, was released in November 2023 to critical acclaim, with the title track featuring on FATEA’s Spring Showcase 2024.
Lauren's trio comprises of herself, double bass master John Parker, and Lauren's duo partner and ‘just-one-more-guitar'-ist, Keith Donnelly.
Beardy Folk Festival is a carefully crafted, Midsummer music festival boasting a brilliant line up ofcontemporary and traditional music. All set in the beautiful surroundings of Hopton Court Estate in South Shropshire.
