Laurel Cemetery Sign Reveal & Commemoration Ceremony

Join us for a meaningful ceremony honoring Laurel Cemetery, a historic burial ground where thousands of Black Baltimoreans — including civic leaders, veterans, and families — were laid to rest. Over the years, the site was neglected and disrupted by development. This event marks the formal unveiling of a historical sign that recognizes and commemorates the cemetery’s legacy and those buried there.

The program will include a formal ceremony, a blessing of the land, and the sign reveal. This is a public event open to all who want to learn, reflect, and pay respect.
