Please join us on Wednesday, January 7th from 4-5pm at the Carbondale Civic Center to kick off our 4th Annual Carbondale Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) fundraising walk to benefit the Carbondale Warming Center! We will be walking on Saturday, February 28th and will start and finish at the Carbondale Community High School’s cafeteria. You can participate in a 2k, 5k or virtual walk. This year the Carbondale Warming Center is joining forces with Take Action Today to emphasize that our homeless neighbors not only need warm, safe shelter and food, but also other services like recovery, employment, housing, mental and physical health support to rebuild their lives. We have a big goal this year to have 50 teams walking to raise $100,000. This funding will allow the Carbondale Warming Center to return to 24/7 operations from its current four nights per week during our coldest winter months.
At our launch party on January 7th, team captains who have registered their teams and raised at least $25 so far will receive one of our new, sporty 2026 CNOY beanies. Walkers who have registered and raised at least $10 will receive one of last year’s CNOY beanies. These beanies are just a small token of our appreciation for your willingness to step up and help our homeless neighbors! Illinois Avenue, Carbondale from 4-5pm on Wednesday January 7th for a fun event to kick off our 4th annual Coldest Night of the Year walk on Saturday February 28th!
