Visit Crown Isle Resort on Sunday, November 8th and enjoy a free musical performance!
The Strathcona Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is launching their 2026/27 season by offering a free mini concert in the foyer of Crown Isle’s Clubhouse Resort Centre, 399 Clubhouse Drive, Courtenay, on Sunday, November 8th from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
If you are having a bite to eat at Crown Isle’s Timber Room Bar & Grill, working on your golf swing at the driving range, or just taking in the beautiful fall scenery in the neighbourhood, stop by and enjoy several members from the SSO’s cello, violin, keyboard, and woodwind sections playing compositions from Bach to the Beatles (have you ever heard of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer on the cello?).
Don’t forget to pick up the SSO 2026/27 brochure and discover what’s in store for the season.
December’s concerts on Saturday, December 12th (7 pm) and Sunday, December 13th (2 pm) pay tribute to Walt Disney’s 125th birthday, and feature excerpts from Fantasia, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Frozen, and The Little Mermaid.
