Laughing Lure Comedy: Dave Rattigan

Laughing Lure Comedy returns to the Tackle Box Brewing Company with Dave Rattigan, Pat Collins and Jim Ruberti on Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m.

Known for his dead-pan delivery and quick, dry wit, Dave Rattigan has performed in Ireland, Japan, at Fenway Park, The Cape Cod Melody Tent, South Shore Music Circus, a lumberyard, the lobby of an ad agency, a library, and several parking lots. “There’s nothing funny about the way he looks, until he gives that deadpan look of his,” popular blogger Ralph Fatello (RalphsPic.com) wrote. “His outward appearance is something out of a mature GQ magazine. He looks like a cross between a semi hip banker, and your mild-mannered father-in-law …. Dave is the master of completely dismantling himself in front of a crowd of strangers. I’m always torn as to whether I should console him, or just laugh my ass off like everyone else …. You know they (comics) are hitting home when the audience starts to point at each other….” His CD was played on SiriusXM and radio stations all over the U.S. and Ireland, and he has appeared in regional television commercials on NESN.

The very funny Pat Collins is a sought-after comedian and regular at top New England clubs. He's has appeared at The Comedy Studio, CBS Comedy Scene and The Comedy Connection, RI. He plays at Comedy Nights, Private Parties and Fundraisers all over New England. He recently starred in a series of very funny television commercials for NASCAR and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Host Jim Ruberti is Boston comedian and actor who has been entertaining people for well over 30 years, starting as a child in the theaters of Cape Cod performing with Broadway actors such as John Raitt or Theordore Bikel, and progressing into roles as an adult at venues like the Barnstable Comedy Club. He has been a comic fundraising auctioneer and event host for more than 15 years, and a stand-up comedian working stages around New England. As a stand-up, he’s shared the stage with Boston headliners such as Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Paul Nardizzi, Christine Hurley, Jimmy Dunn, Mike McDonald, Dave Rattigan and Steve Bjork. He’s also part of the Ranting Parents Comedy Tour, which plays in theaters around New England.
