Lauderhill Walk for Peace

Join City of Lauderhill Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn for the Lauderhill Walk for Peace & Peace Fest on Saturday, June 6, 2026, as residents, families, community partners, and local leaders come together in support of peace and safer communities.

The day will begin with the Walk for Peace, a visible demonstration of unity, remembrance, healing, and community action. Participants will meet at the Lauderhill Police Department and walk to Lauderhill City Hall, showing a shared commitment to violence prevention, community trust, and positive change.

Following the walk, participants are invited to enjoy Peace Fest at City Hall, featuring community resources, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, local vendors, food trucks, and opportunities to connect with organizations working to strengthen families and neighborhoods.

Peace Fest is part of the City’s Lauderhill Peace365 initiative and supports ongoing efforts to build a culture of peace, increase community engagement, and provide residents with access to resources that promote long-term health, safety, and prosperity.

Participants are encouraged to wear orange in recognition of National Gun Violence Awareness Month and in solidarity with communities impacted by gun violence.
