Latte Art Throwdown at Origin Coffee Bar

A night for baristas, coffee lovers, and the creatively caffeinated.

Join us at Origin Coffee Bar for a high-energy Latte Art Throwdown that brings the local coffee community together. This night is all about creating space for baristas to show off their skills, connect with one another, and build relationships across coffee shops throughout the lowcountry.

Whether you're stepping up to compete or just coming to hang, expect great pours, good people, and a room full of energy.

Date: Tuesday, May 12
Location: Origin Coffee Bar - Savannah

Timing:

• Contestants arrive at 5:40pm
• Doors open at 5:45pm
• Competition begins at 6:00pm

Competitor Buy-In: $15
Spectators: Free to attend

• Head-to-head latte art competition
• Judging at the end of the bar for a close-up, high-energy experience
• Charcuterie, cold brew, and drip coffee are available throughout the night
• A room full of baristas, coffee people, and new connections waiting to happen

At its core, this event exists to:

• Build community within Savannah’s coffee scene
• Give baristas a space to show off their craft in a fun, low-pressure environment
• Create opportunities for connection between coffee shops, teams, and individuals

This is less about winning and more about showing up, participating, and being part of something good.

• Bracket-style, head-to-head rounds
• Competitors pour the same drink each round
• Judges evaluate side-by-side based on contrast, symmetry, creativity, and execution
• Winners advance until a final champion is crowned

• Open to all pro and home baristas
• Limited competitor spots
• Must be present when called
• Espresso, milk, and cups provided
• Judging decisions are final
• Respect the craft and each other

Top competitors will receive prizes from our sponsors, along with the honor of being crowned Origin’s Throwdown Champion. 👑
