POTTERY & SCULPTURE SALE AND SHOW!!!
Explore high-quality, handcrafted works that offer exceptional value
— a rare chance to acquire timeless pieces of functional art or discover the perfect one-of-a-kind holiday gift.
It's fascinating how many different styles and backgrounds are represented. Here are some of the artists and works that stand out:
The "Pottery Wizards": The group of Jean Latka, Frank Gray, Sarah Christensen, and Bill Wilson are highlighted as central to the show.
Frank Gray is bringing his latest sculptures, including a friendly gargoyle and the intriguing, life-size piece "Pulling the Plug", which features a man's hand ripping the top off a life-size fire hydrant.
Frank Nemick will be showing off the large ceramic sculptures that he is known for.
Tracy Hartman brings her feminine touch and mastery of the craft, having studied with her husband, professor Carl Jensen, at the University of Colorado Pueblo.
Vicky Hansen transforms the vessel form with a gentle, soft, flowing design, achieved by "punching and tickling the clay," resulting in gallery-worthy pieces.
Sumi von Dassow, a local Beulah celebrity artist, will be featured, showcasing work from her studies at top ceramic schools and her history in national shows.
Joy Morauski, a local legend known for her beautiful pottery, has been a fixture at the Commonwheel Gallery (Colorado's oldest co-operative) for 22 years.
The show also includes Ron Dehn, described himself as a "forever student," as most serious artists are.
