About this Event

We're headed back to Lake Placid with our friends The Nature Conservancy of New York and the Adirondack Mountain Club, and with some added adventure! We're excited to announce our first Intermediate Winter Backpacking trip, with FREE transportation to/from Central Park North, food, lodging, licensed guides, and snowshoes included! This trip is perfect for those with previous winter adventuring and backpacking experience! We'll be snowshoeing, learning winter preparedness skills, exploring frozen waterfalls, building fires, and spending some time away from screens (yup, there's zero cell service).

  • Friday and Saturday night lodging is a 4-miles snowshoe from a nearby trailhead. There will be 8 bunk beds with twin-size mattresses in one co-ed cabin and 4 in the other co-ed cabin. There is one burning stove that can gently warm a common area but it does not extend to the bunk rooms (indoor temperatures range between 40°F - 60°F).
