In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Jefas PDX and Xcelerate Women proudly present the second annual Latinas Shaping the Future: an evening celebrating the many ways Latinas in our city are creating change on their own terms.
Revolution doesn't always look like a megaphone. Sometimes it looks like building wealth in our communities. Writing the book. Prioritizing rest. Making art. Raising the next generation with pride. Choosing yourself.
What to Expect
Keynote: "Our Resilience Is Resistance" Miryam Valdivia, life and leadership coach and founder of the Inner Pionera™ framework, opens the evening. A first-generation Latina and daughter of Peruvian immigrants, Miryam speaks on equity-centered leadership and empowering Latinas to lead authentically.
Panel: "We Need Us All" Co-moderated by Jefas PDX co-founders Ashley Stoyanov Ojeda and Viridiana Ponce, this conversation explores the many forms resistance takes and why we need every single one of them.
