Last Walk of 2026: Redmires, Rivelin & Rod Moor | 12km | Women Only
About this Event
About this walk
One final walk before we wave goodbye to 2026! Join Peak Outdoor Community for a guided circuit around Redmires, Rivelin and Rod Moor, where open moorland meets the extraordinary industrial history of Sheffield’s water supply.
We’ll leave the reservoirs behind for higher ground, explore the changing scenery of Hallam Moors, and hear how water shaped both the city below and the landscape around us. Expect big skies, a little bit of history, friendly company and a trig to bag. A great way to finish the walking year!
Distance / ascent: 11.60 km / 367 m
Difficulty: Moderate - suitable for walkers accustomed to uneven moorland terrain and longer walks
Duration: Approximately 4½–5 hours including breaks
Who will be your guide?
I’m Emily, founder of Peak Outdoor Community, and I’m a Mountain Leader based in Glossop at the edge of the Dark Peak. I’ve always been outdoorsy since being a young girl but hiking became a real obsession in 2019 when I started to go solo. I aim to inspire other women to learn the many benefits of exploring in the outdoors and I’m passionate about sharing my love for adventure with you!
