Course 1, Level 1

Course Overview:
Laser Hair Removal (LHR) technicians utilize advanced laser technology to effectively and safely remove unwanted body hair. As one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the United States, LHR employs pulses of light to eliminate hair follicles. This technique can be applied to nearly any area of the body, with common treatment spots including the legs, back, face, neck, underarms, and bikini region.

The 40-Hour Laser Hair Removal Apprentice-in-Training Hybrid certification course combines theoretical learning with practical application, offering both an extensive online curriculum and in-person, hands-on training. This comprehensive approach equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive as laser hair removal technicians.

• Certification as a Laser Safety Officer (LSO).

• Certification of completion for the 40-Hour Laser Hair Removal Apprentice-in-Training from the 3D Laser Institute
• Final online exam to qualify for state licensure in laser hair removal according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) guidelines.

In-Person Lecture & Hands-On Training:

• Participants will receive a binder containing all printed course materials to take home.
• A completion certificate will be awarded at the conclusion of the class.

  • Admission Criteria:
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.

• The tuition fee for the 40-Hour Laser Hair Removal Apprentice-in-Training Hybrid Course is $1000.

• Refund Policy: All hybrid courses are non-refundable and non-transferable once access is granted.
• Rescheduling: Changes to hands-on class schedules must be communicated via email at least five business days in advance, or a $50 rescheduling fee will apply.

Course 2, Level 2

100 Treatment Practicum

Objective:
Students have the opportunity to perform their first 100 treatments at 3D Laser Institute, live models under the direct supervision of a Registered Senior or Professional Laser Hair Removal Technician. Completing this practicum allows students to expedite their registration as Certified Laser Hair Removal Technicians with TDLR.

Main Skills to Be Developed:

• Comprehensive understanding of light application for safe hair removal.
• Conducting effective client consultations.
• Tailoring treatments to individual skin types.
• Addressing pre and post-treatment protocols.
• Gaining insights into practice setting considerations.

Class Duration:
Approximately 4-5 hours total. Scheduling must be done via phone.

Admission Criteria:

• Completion of a state-approved 40-hour laser hair removal training.
• Minimum age of 18 at application.

Tuition Fee:
Tuition for the 100 Treatment Practicum is $650.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:

• Rescheduling requires email notification at least five business days prior.

Next Steps Post-Practicum:
Upon completion, you will receive log sheets and a state application to send to Texas for obtaining your Senior Technician License. After receiving your Senior License, you can pursue the Professional Laser Technician test.

Level 3

Senior Laser Technician

Objective:
At this level, participants must observe 100 treatments performed by an apprentice.

Main Skills Developed:

• Advanced understanding of laser application for effective hair removal.
• Conducting client consultations.
• Tailoring treatments based on skin type.
• Addressing pre and post-treatment considerations.

Class Duration:
Approximately 4-5 hours total. Must be scheduled by phone.

Admission Criteria:

• Completion of a state-approved Laser Hair Removal Technician course.
• Minimum age of 18 at application.

Tuition Fee:
The tuition fee is $250, payable at enrollment. This includes all materials, hands-on training, and a completion certificate from the 3D Laser Institute.

Next Steps:
Upon completion, students will receive log sheets and a state application for the Senior Technician License. Once obtained, you may proceed to take the Professional Laser Technician exam.

Level 4

Professional Laser Technician

Objective:
This final level requires passing a written exam. Achieving a passing score will earn you a Professional Laser Technician certificate, which is necessary for your Professional Laser Technician License from the state.

Main Skills Developed:

• In-depth knowledge of light application for hair removal.
• Conducting thorough client consultations.
• Tailoring treatments based on client skin type.
• Addressing pre and post-treatment considerations.

Written Exam:
There are no time constraints for the exam, and you may retake it if necessary. A passing grade of at least 70% is required. Enrollment can be completed by phone, and further details will be provided via email.

Admission Criteria:

• Completion of a state-approved Laser Hair Removal Technician course.
• Minimum age of 18 at application.
