About this Event
The Las Vegas Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) and the State of Nevada, Nevada Division of Emergency Management, will hold workshops at our facility at the Clark County Fire Department MACC, 575 E Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89119, on July 27th–28th, to update our Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR).
This year's workshop is a single, continuous two-day Tabletop Exercise (TTX) covering all 32 required core capabilities, worked through scenario by scenario and organized around thisa year's scenarios and our region's Community Lifelines:
Monday, July 27, 2026
- 8:30 – 9:00 AM: Sign-In & Registration
- 9:00 – 9:15 AM: Welcome, Administrative Overview & Introductions
- 9:15 – 9:50 AM: THIRA Results — Risk Survey & Scenario Review
- 10:00 – 11:00 AM: Scenario 1 – Physical Attack on Infrastructure – Utility Systems
- 11:10 – 11:25 AM: Scenario 2 – Cyber Attack
- 11:25 AM – 1:45 PM: Scenario 3 – Mass Casualty Attack (includes working lunch, provided, 12:00–12:30 PM)
- 2:00 – 2:50 PM: Scenario 4 – EV Battery Fire – Apartment Complex
- 3:00 – 3:45 PM: Scenario 5 – Extreme Heat – Multi-Day Event
- 3:45 – 4:00 PM: Scenario 6 – Pandemic
- 4:00 – 4:15 PM: Scenario 7 – Power Failure – Long-Term
- 4:15 – 4:30 PM: Day 1 Recap
