About this Event
With four distinct natural habitats, Las Trampas Regional Wilderness is home to a wonderful range of wildflowers and other native plants. We'll experience postcard worthy flora and natural landscapes as we explore this remote corner of the East Bay.

This is a moderate hike of 5-1/2 miles with an elevation gain of about 1,000 feet.

Free, but reservations are required.
Where to Meet
We'll assemble at the parking area at the end of Bollinger Canyon Road. There are restrooms and water fountain near the parking area.
Notes
Bring lunch, liquids, dress in layers, and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. If you have any questions about this outing, email Ken Lavin.
About the Outing Leader
Bob Johnson recently retired after serving for 30 years as a Greenbelt Alliance Board Member. He has also worked with Urban Advantage to produce photo-realistic visualizations of better urban design. Previously, he worked for many years as a securities analyst in Japan as well as the Bay Area. With Janet Byron, he co-wrote the book Berkeley Walks featuring self-guided urban tours. The new 3rd edition of the book has just been released.
