About this Event

Las Hadas de la Sombra is an original Spanish-language folktale, shot entirely in the Ballston Spa area by local filmmaker Ryan Jenkins. After it's West Coast premiere at the renowned Dances With Films festival in Hollywood, the short film finally returns home for it's first regional screening.

A desperate mother must keep the peace between her young children and the uncle that begrudgingly hosts them. When her daughter refuses to eat the repetitive meals, she tells her a fairy tale about what could come looking for leftovers.
