In March our Vault Gallery will feature paintings by Laron Stallings."Of Fur and Feather" is inspired by the diverse ecology of eastern NC, and more specifically, the wildlife of the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge.
Through this body of work, Laron explores the unique connections of the wildlife that call this place home. Focusing on the red wolves, bears, and the many birds species of the region, the paintings move the viewer to consider the importance of these wild spaces.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, March 7 from 6pm to 8pm, where visitors can meet Laron and view her work. The opening reception is during downtown Manteo's First Friday festivities, and is free and open to the public.
"Of Fur and Feather" will be on display March 7-29, 2025 in our Vault Gallery.
This show is in partnership with the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge.
