Large Community Element Puppets

Ages 16+. All levels of artistic experience.

This is an ongoing community project. Join us!

Connect with other artists and create puppets for each element (water, air, land, fire).

Element groups will brainstorm puppet image, style and functionality. These can be a large puppet head on a tall pole with flowing fabric or a backpack puppet with movable arms that will engage with the audience. The only thing limiting us is our imagination.

Some ideas include a 9 foot tall red panda backpack puppet, a school of large fish heads on poles. Costumes to correspond with each element.

Timeframe: Every Friday 5:00 - 8:00pm meet up. You do not have to commit to attending every session. This is dedicated time to work together as a group. You can also get your part of the project assigned and work on different days.

Maybe you just want to help with one art medium like creating a head out of paper mache or just batik the fabric. Great! Want to sew? You're invited.

Workshop class size indicates 10. More are welcome if there is space in the studio.
