Experience the Essence of Lao Cuisine:
Step into the heart of Lao culture with a culinary experience that blends tradition, flavor, and soul. This February 2nd, we’re bringing you a special pop-up featuring two iconic dishes that celebrate the richness of Lao food heritage, with options to enhance your meal for a truly unforgettable experience.
A Taste of Laos: More Than Just a Meal
Laos is a country of vibrant flavors, lush landscapes, and a deep cultural tradition of sharing meals as a way of building connection. Food is the heart of Lao life, where every dish tells a story of family, community, and the land. Meals are eaten communally, with sticky rice at the center of the table, symbolizing unity and resilience.
This pop-up is your chance to experience the depth of Lao food—an invitation to taste its history and tradition, crafted with care and pride
The Story Continues: Join The Lao Project cooking class and follow them on IG @iamkohnlao
If you fall in love with these flavors, why not take a deeper dive into Lao culture by learning to make dishes like these? I’ll be hosting an upcoming Lao cooking class as part of The Lao Project, an initiative launched in 2020 to highlight the narrative storytelling of Lao Americans through art, culture, food, and music.
The cooking class will explore traditional Lao recipes and techniques, and you may even get a chance to learn how to make dishes like Khao Poon or Lemongrass Wings—or discover entirely new recipes that embody the rich culinary traditions of Laos. Dates will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
Why This Pop-Up Matters:
This pop-up isn’t just about food—it’s about preserving and celebrating the vibrant culture of Laos. It’s a chance to experience the deep connections that Lao people have to their cuisine, a cuisine that reflects the land, the people, and the traditions passed down through generations. Perfect for sharing with loved ones or enjoying a cozy dinner at home, these dishes are crafted with the care and pride that defines Lao cooking.
Don’t wait—pre-order now and join me on this flavorful journey through Laos. Savor the taste, celebrate the culture, and carry the story forward.
About the Program:
Nibble Kitchen is proud to re-introduce our Supper Club Program! Many members of the Nibble Community do not have the bandwidth (or desire) to take on the full Chef-in-Residency Program, but still want the opportunity to grow their businesses and showcase their cultures and cuisines. Programs like this Supper Club enable Nibble members to gain valuable experience in kitchen operations management, connect with the Somerville community, showcase their cuisine and culture, and mitigate the risks of a traditional pop-up by selling tickets ahead of time!
