We limit our Lantern Tours to 20 people per tour to provide a more intimate/personalized experience.
We ask that you arrive 5-10 mins early to check in.
This time of year, it's a little cooler in the jail, dress accordingly! We do have heat/air in some of the cells so it isn't horrible!
We ask that attendees be 13 or older for the Lantern Tours!
Each tour will consist of a guided historical tour of the DeRidder Gothic Jail. We do provide the flashlights, but you are also more than welcome to bring your own. We will share ghost stories and our own personal experiences from within these walls. Once the first part of the tour is complete, we will give you the opportunity to roam the corridors and cells for the remainder of the tour.
We strongly urge the use of still photography or videography as you explore the Gothic Jail. For our paranormal hunting guests…. Voice recorders, K2, etc. are also welcome. We just ask that you DO NOT record our entire tour!
We however “WILL NOT” allow the use of Ouija boards or other summoning methods within our jail.
