About this Event

It's the 3rd Annual Language Access Week! Join us in a week-long celebration and education of language access and how it strengthens our community.

Thursday night, June 11th, is our Moroccan empanada making class! A Moroccan empanada is a savory pastry featuring spiced fillings like minced beef, apricot preserves, or spiced potatoes. These turnovers are commonly baked or fried, sometimes using pie crust or puff pastry, and are popular as quick appetizers or snacks. The instructor will be teaching in Arabic and participants will hear live simultaneous interpretation as they learn a new skill.

Thank you to our sponsors the Weitz Family Foundation, Valmont Industries, Emspace+ Lovgren, and the Omaha Community Foundation!
