Join the San Juan County Extension office and the team from Gathings Gardens for the Landscape Learn Lab workshop series in Aztec, NM. Participants will gain knowledge and hands on experience in designing a drought tolerant landscape. The series will provide introductory lessons on Landscape planning, building soil and soil fertility; create a water conscious irrigation system; and proper planting techniques. Space is limited to the first 20 participants. April 18 10am-12pm Planning a Drought Tolerant Landscape: plant selection, growth rates, water use and more.
April 25: 10am-12pm: Building a Healthy Soil: understanding soil fertility, mulching, and healthy soils principles.
May 9 10-12pm: Designing a Water Conscious Irrigation System from the ground up.
May 16: 10am-12pm Proper Planting of Landscape plants: Hands on best practices.
