Land, Villains, and Revolutionaries
About this Event
Your host, a middle and high school social studies teacher, takes you on a romp through ten social movement stories across 150 years of San Francisco history. But wait! There's relevance to today: David hypothesizes there's a common denominator to all stories of marginalization, namely that they're about struggle over control of "location, location, location." Along the way he'll introduce you to San Francisco's Big Idea, a 19th century public policy proposal to treat planet Earth as the birthright of all people.
NOTE: Though this walk is offered weekly, it's a good idea to check in if it's happening the day you're bound for: info(at)TheCommonsSF.org
