Land Stewardship Volunteer Day at Splitrock Farm and Retreat

We are humbly requesting the help of volunteers wanting to be a part of this initiative through the service project for land stewardship, because it takes a community to build a community.
Splitrock Farm & Retreat is on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature. We are offering programs that support mental, physical, and spiritual health, as we create opportunities for people to develop a healthier relationship to self while immersing themselves in their natural surroundings.

We will gather at the Commons for a brief orientation on the overall mission and assigning group tasks to begin the building project for the day. Tasks will include building composting toilets, land maintanence (brush clearing, weedwacking and raking) and painting/putting up directional signs. We will cool off under the palm trees at the Shady Spring at 7pm for a meal and cold beverages, followed by a community fire.
